The Dingwall Combustion 4 naturally comes in modern multiscale construction, the distinctive feature of the Canadian company. Each string of the 4-string Bass has an optimally matched length between 34" (864 mm) at the G and 36.25" (921 mm) at the low E, so a precise and tight sound presentation is guaranteed. In addition to the swamp ash body, which is perfectly balanced both standing and sitting, Dingwall relies on a bolt-on, five-piece maple neck whose pleasantly slim "Medium Thin C" profile lets every groove come out of the fingers with ease.

The Dingwall FD-3N pickups, armed with powerful neodymium magnets, promise smooth bass sounds that assert themselves optimally with a well-measured aggressiveness and punch even in the densest Mix. A 4-way rotary switch calls up the three pickups in different combinations so that the four-stringer comes up with both tradition-conscious and modern tones, which can be precisely adjusted to one's own ideas with the help of EMG's active 3-band equalizer. Thanks to the mini switch above the pots, the electric bass guitar can also be played in classic passive mode.
Lightweight Hipshot/Dingwall tuners guarantee precise and stable tuning of the four-string Combustion Bass.
