The separately switchable distortion section of the Darkglass B7K Ultra v2 with Aux In is based on the analogue circuit of the popular Darkglass Microtube B3K and accordingly delivers brute distortion, but with each tone defined and transparent. The grunt switch controls the amount of low frequencies in the overdrive, whereas the attack switch controls the amount of high frequencies. Depending on the equipment used, the sharpness of the sound image can be reduced or an emphasised transparency can be added. Furthermore the Blend control allows the continuous mixing of clean and effect signal to preserve pressure and assertiveness.

Equipped for stage and studio thanks to a 4-band EQ, direct-out and speaker simulation

The Clean section of the Darkglass Microtube B7K Ultra v2 with Aux In furthermore offers a 4-band EQ with triple-switchable centre frequencies in the mid bands. This means that the sonic character can be adjusted very precisely, so that the right bass sound for every genre can be found quickly. The master control can also be used to adjust the overall volume of the preamp according to clean and distortion channel. For ease of use on stage and in the studio, the Darkglass Microtubes B7K Ultra is equipped with a balanced DI output in XLR format, which can be used to send the signal to mixing consoles or recording equipment. A speaker simulation based on impulse responses is on board as well, which makes the sound image particularly natural and lively. A headphone jack is included for silent practice with first-class sound, while the Aux-In allows you to play back backing tracks or playalongs.
