The Alpha Omicron is a reduced version of the popular Alpha Omega. The bass effect is convincing with a brutal sound through two freely miscible distortion circuits and a straightforward operation. The Alpha Omicron is a double-distortion pedal offering the "Alpha" and "Omega" in one with completely analogue circuits. The "Alpha" produces a tight bass overdrive with perfectly defined sound, and the "Omega" offers endless gain reserves for the most brutal distortion. To adjust the sound, the Growl and Bite switches are also available and can be used to emphasise bass and treble. The dry signal can be blended through the Blend control to ensure that the bass tone is maintained even with the juicy distortion.
Darkglass Alpha OmicronThis is an amazing pedal. Any setting sounds great. I bought it for heavy distortion but it offers just as much with the drive down.
This thing sounds amazing, especially when using a good preamp and compressor.
However, the quality of the hardware sucks. The footswitch doesn't work half of the time. The pedal has already been shipped to the repair service, but the problem remains. Too bad!!
I'm afraid this is my last Darkglass pedal I have spent good money on.
