21st century mastering aesthetics
Dangerous Music BAX EQ is a mastering and mix buss shelving EQ based on the classic P.J. Baxandall low and high filters, offering the possibility of unique sound shaping. Dangerous Music's product developers took inspiration from the Baxandall filter curves used in many millions of hi-fi systems to offer BAX EQ, a unique equalizer with a 21st century mastering aesthetic. BAX EQ's filter design creates wide and open curves and gentle cuts, delivering a reliable tool for recording, mixing and mastering. The Bax EQ does not provide a characteristic coloration to the signal that overshadows the music, but beautifies what is already there. Even at large live concerts, the BAX EQ is used at times and is usually found there as the final link on the stereo sum, which then goes to the PA.
A lot of sound with just a few tweaks
The BAX EQ is completely equipped with detented knobs, allowing identical stereo processing and easy restoration of previous settings. 8 frequencies each, switchable in 0.5 dB steps for the high and low ranges, as well as a wide Q factor allow to intervene far into the midrange. Coupled with a 7-position detented high and low pass filter, many flexible and musical interventions can be made.
