The compact DSM & Humboldt Simplifier turns out to be a comprehensive and detailed simulation for preamp, poweramp and cabinet and is wonderfully suited for the integration of your own pedalboard into PA systems, amplifiers or mixers. The 100% analogue preamp offers three different styles, which are composed of two authentic Brit voicings and unmistakable US character and includes a 3-band Equalizer. This follows the passive construction of classic preamps. This follows the passive design of classic tube amps and recreates the feel and response of the classic tone stack topology. The interaction between the simulated power amp tubes and the output transformer has also been implemented with astonishing fidelity. Here the Simplifier offers the choice between mid-range warm EL-34 sounds, 6L6 tubes for dynamic US sounds and KT88 characters with tight low-end and provides additional controls for Presence and Resonance. Last but not least, the DSM & Humboldt Simplifier has an extensive and separately switchable Stereo Cabsim section with different speaker sizes and freely selectable microphone positions to add the final touch to the outgoing sound via XLR or jack.
