The Chase Bliss Audio Automatone Preamp MKII combines Joel Kortes' impressive effects pedal magic with the sonic qualities of Benson Amps' preamp circuitry. The result is an extremely versatile combination of preamp and fuzz effect with extensive circuitry and a chic retro look. The sonic palette ranges from warming boost to creamy overdrive to destructive gated fuzz sounds. Thanks to the motorized faders including 3-band equalizer with selectable mid frequency and Q-switch with three different settings , you can adapt to your own sound preferences. The fuzz circuit features an asymmetrical germanium mode , balanced silicon sounds and diode clipping , while the fuzz switch allows you to choose between open and gated fuzz. For a variety of applications on stage and in the studio, the Chase Bliss Audio Preamp MKII features 30 internally accessible preset slots , 5-pin connectors for MIDI control and an expression pedal connector for intuitive control of individual effect parameters.
Chase Bliss Audio Preamp MKIIPackaging of the device was poor so when it arrived 4 if the sliders were loose in the package and there were tiny scratches on the metal surface presumably where the sliders had been rattling around. This look a fault on the manufacturers packaging as there was no foam protector on the front

Fully Midi controllable which adds massively to the functionality, also many parameters can be controlled with an expression pedal.
Sadly it took some time to arrive as a result of incomplete customs documentation submitted by DV247 in Cologne and it was held for 3 weeks by UPS whilst this was being sorted out!
However thankfully I was at least not charged additionally when it arrived.
Worth mentioning that part of the delay was due to incompetence and poor customer service on the part of UPS so my advice to DV247 would be to use a different courier!
