The Chandler Limited TG12345 MkIV EQ is a fully discrete mono equalizer that is handmade and occupies one slot in a 500 Series rack. It offers presence and bass bands with infinitely variable stroke and a hardware bypass. It has its roots in the channel equalizer of the classic EMI TG12345 recording consoles of the late 1960s and early 1970s. The harmonically powerful basic character of the TG12345 MkIV EQ is silky smooth and sounds just as pleasant as the Curve Bender. The presence band can be switched between eight frequencies and one off-position. The first 7x frequencies are bell filters and the 8th band is shelving at 10kHz. The bass band is also designed as a shelving filter and can be switched between the frequencies 90 and 150Hz.
In combination with the Chandler TG opto-compressor and the TG2-500 preamplifier, the TG12345 MkIV EQ completes the channel of the classic EMI TG console as a rack version for installation in a 500mm frame.
