Casio stage piano with 88 keys
The CASIO PX-5 S Privia Pro Stage Piano stands out clearly from many other digital pianos due to its extremely wide range of functions. Equipped with an advanced MIDI controller and powerful processor, the extremely attractive new flagship from Casio also features the popular AiR sound generation and offers 370 sounds as well as a comprehensive effects section with reverb, Delay and chorus.
High-quality keyboard with additional functions
The CASIO PX-5 S has an 88-key tri-sensor scaled hammer action, which can be divided into 4 master keyboard zones, to provide the most natural playing experience possible. The surface of the keys has an Ivory Touch feeling with a grained surface structure. This gives the player a natural feel, just like an acoustic piano.
Extensive sound generation and advanced functions
The Casio Stage Piano contains a large number of hex layer sounds. This type of tone generation makes it possible to combine up to 6 tones with each other or distribute them next to each other on the keyboard. This gives the player maximum flexibility. Furthermore, the digital piano has many master keyboard zones as well as four freely configurable rotary controls, six sliders and a pitch and modulation wheel.
Natural piano sound thanks to AiR technology
The Casio Privia Pro has a natural piano sound thanks to the AiR (acoustic and intelligent resonator) sound generation developed by Casio. This is a multi-dimensional sound generation system. Together with other innovations, it forms the core of the sound. The result is a true-to-life digital reproduction of the playing and sound behaviour of a concert grand piano
I find that the key action and touch feels amazing and really allows you to be more expressive while playing. It takes some time studying the menus and all its potentials arent entirely described in the manual book. Experimentation is the word. You get a big Bang for the Buck. It showed to be very useful either for practice and for live performances. Mind that the output sound quality really depends on your playback hardware quality (headphones, monitor) and you depend on it. Overall its quality is impressively good for the price. A big con is that it doesnt have a metronome built-in, you may record a phrase with drum kits, but it isnt practical. Another option is inputting your phone or digital metronome via Aux.
