Lo-Fi delay computer with modulation and tap tempo
The Caroline Guitar Company Megabyte is based on the extremely popular Kilobyte Lo-Fi Delay from the South Carolina effects company, and adds the features most often requested by the guitar community. Accordingly, two old-school delay chips provide up to 1200 ms of delay time, while the exact time of delay, including sub-division for the rhythm of the echoes, can be conveniently set using the tap-tempo footswitch. In addition to the depth-adjustable modulation effect for enriching the echoes, the Caroline Guitar Company Megabyte naturally offers the familiar preamp with input gain control, which boosts the signal before the delay circuit by up to 21 dB, thus ensuring inspiringly dirty saturation of the echoes. Furthermore, the obligatory Havoc footswitch temporarily maximizes the feedback until the circuit self-oscillates. Last but not least, the Caroline Guitar Company Megabyte features internal Kill-Dry and Feedback Limit switches, an internal Ramp control for the Havoc function and an optional Trails Bypass mode.
