Carl Martin Rock Bug
The Carl Martin Rock Bug is an amp/speaker simulator and headphone rehearsal unit that operates on a single 9V battery. The concept of amplifier and speaker simulation isn’t new but the Rock Bug has an authentic sound that is hard to find in any other product of its size and price. The Rock Bug is operated by simply connecting your guitar to the unit with a ¼” jack cable and connecting a pair of headphones to the unit and you’ll feel like you’re playing through a good tube amp. The Rock Bug can simulate either open or closed back speakers by toggling the mini-switch at the top. An MP3, CD or DAT player can be linked via the AUX stereo inputs and the two input levels (Guitar & AUX) can be adjusted accordingly. The Rock Bug is not only a great rehearsal tool. It can also be used as a DI box (via balanced XLR) on live gigs when you’re travelling light or if you’re amp goes down. As well as battery operation, the unit can be powered by a 9V DC PSU.
