With the Boss Limited Edition 30th Anniversary MT-2 Metal Zone, Boss celebrates the 30th anniversary of its successful distortion effect pedal, which has turned countless guitar amps into fire-breathing metal monsters since 1991. The analogue dual-stage gain circuit promises massive distortion sounds with long sustain, while the active 3-band EQ allows you to precisely adjust the tone.
Dual-Stage Gain Circuit
The Dual-Stage Gain Circuit of the Boss Metal Zone relies on two series-arranged distortion circuits with elaborate filtering, which promise a distortion full of character. Depending on the position of the gain kn ob, Boss' MT-2 delivers a dense overdrive or an aggressive high-gain distortion with endless sustain.
Active equalizer
The 30th Anniversary MT-2 Metal Zone features a sophisticated tone control to perfectly adjust the distortion sound to your own preferences. The active 3-band equalizer allows up to 15 dB of boost or cut in bass, midrange and treble, so that every tone can be implemented, from a brutal mid-scoop for massive riffs to a juicy boost for maximum assertiveness. The semi-parametric design of the midrange control also allows you to precisely set the frequency of operation between 200 Hz and 5 kHz.
