The Blackstar ID:Core Stereo 40 Combo provides a total of six different voicings that cover the entire spectrum from transparent clean to brutal high gain, providing the perfect foundation for any musical style between jazz, blues, country, rock and metal. With the help of the Blackstar ISF tone control (Infinite Shape Feature), the sound character can be perfectly tuned with just one button. Took me a bit of time to understand what to expect and what you get in manual and patch mode. Got a bit confused. The on-line manual from the website helped a lot. Though small the amp goes loud enough for in the house and practice. I'm just a beginner so haven't fully explored or appreciated the full features and ability but just using the factory set patches give a great impression of the full capabilities.
