Noiseless Amplification – Powerful Clear Sound

The high-quality Yenyx microphone preamps, which can be found in many Behringer products, impress with an extremely low distortion factor, with a signal-to-noise ratio of 130dB and solid headroom. The four microphones inputs feature an easy to use, yet effective compressor, each with their own dedicated control to balance extreme level differences without producing artifacts. Condenser microphones are supplied with 48V phantom power.

The EQ Sound of the 70s

Next to the microphone channels, both of the stereo inputs benefit from the practically conceived EQs, with warm sound of classic British mixing consoles. The input sensitivity of the Line Level inputs can be adjusted between -10 dB and +4dB.

Aux-System, Master Section and Recording

Aux-1 can assigned to each channel either pre- or post-fader and is thereby perfectly suited for monitoring applications and effect control. Aux-2 is post-fader and also routes through the internal effects, as well as the Aux-Send 2 output. Both Aux sends have a master control and can be played-back solo. Stereo Aux Return 1 can be switch to Aux-Send 1 – practical for putting an external effect onto the monitor signal. The output of the internal effect can be assigned between the Main mix and the ALT 3-4 bus. The Phones/Control room output can be assigned independently to the 2-Track/USB, ALT 3-4 and Main mix. This allows input signals that should not picked up by the Main-Mix to allocated to ALT 3-4 via the mute switch while being monitored simultaneously.

High-Quality on-board effects

The 24-Bit multi-effect section with its own level indicator, works with a 24 bit Texas Instruments DSP, which offers 16 high-quality effects. A knob provides 5 reverb variations, 4 early reflection and delay effects; Chorus, Flanger, Phaser, Detune, Pitch-Shifter and Delay/Reverb as well as Chorus/Reverb effect combination. A tap button is available to simply the adjustment of the delay time to the song tempo. Next to the selection of the Presets, the knob is also used to control the effect parameters. With the connection of a suitable, optional footswitch, the effects can be switched on and off. Whether live mixing or studio tracking, there’s the perfect reverb, chorus or multi-effect available.

Plug and Play

So that you can get going right away, Behringer has included a versatile software package with the registration oft he product including Audacity Vinyl- Restauration/Recording, Podifier, Golden Ear and Podcasting. The internal power adapter saves weight and automatically adjusts to the supplied voltage so that you don’t have to worry about any nasty surprises when travailing to other countries.
