Behringer PP400 Microphono at a glance
In today's age of MP3 and other digital audio formats, it's easy to forget that turntables need a little boost before you connect it to a mixer or home entertainment system to enjoy your record collection. Thanks to the Behringer Microphono PP400, turntables get the boost they need, as this small but mighty helper converts the phono signal into a line-level signal.
The ultra-compact phono preamp offers stereo RCA inputs and outputs as well as a 6.3 mm jack output. Thanks to its ultra-low noise operational amplifier, the sound of any record is reproduced exactly as it is transmitted from the turntable's needle. A 12 volt DC power supply is also included.
My new amp had no phono entry, and my old turntable no preamp, so this was the perfect solution for at home. Sound quality is very good for the price, and better than a lot of inbuilt preamps I've heard.
The item was as described, easy to set up and arrived when it said it would. No complaints whatsoever. This was also the best price I could find on the internet, without being second hand.
