The
Behringer NR300 Noise Reducer
is a practical aid for all guitarists seeking to remove unwanted noise from their signal path without distorting the sound. It reduces unwanted noise in reduction mode. The threshold control determines the threshold of the noise gate, while the decay control determines how long the gate is active. In mute mode, however, the Behringer NR300 Noise Reducer mutes the entire signal after the footswitch is pressed. A further practical detail is the FX loop of the Behringer NR300 Noise Reducer, which can be used to remove background noise from particularly sensitive effects pedals.

The Behringer noise gate/reducer pedal is great for beginning guitarists. But it will change your sound. But still its a good pedal considering the price Definitely a buy for some one looking to build a cheap pedalboard.
Ive had loads of behringer products. Some of them are great, some are not hat great... This pedal is supposed to work as a noise gate for guitar and it can do the job for those who dont care too much about their sound. It can shut some of the noise like any of other noise gates but I found out that they add some noise too..., especially working with a transformer. They fell weird on fast attacks. Sometimes you can notice they tend to take a few milliseconds to open and let the sound flow to the original volume. Its almost like a mini volume swell. Ive bought it because of the price but I removed it from my pedal board after two weeks working with it. It can work for those who use loads of distortion and noisy pedals and are in a tight budget.
Thats all you should expect from a pedal this price. And maybe it offers you some more. Its good if you have a very noisy cheap pedalboard. Itll do its job. But it may effect on your tone.
Also its cheap build with plastic. Not something strong.
But again for the price its very good! If you dont want to spend much for a noise reducer go for it.
Suitable for the price... Well built and easy to use, sometimes it fades your last note played when you want it to last but if you tune it right you won´t have problems, this keeps the static sound away what ir great...
