Behringer Bode Frequency Shifter 1630 at a glance:
The Bode Frequency Shifter 1630 from Behringer is a clone of the frequency shifter of the same name from the Moog modular system in Eurorack format. The original module was developed by German engineer Harald Bode in the 1960s as a Moog module and as a stand-alone 19" unit. Even though the module is specialized in changing frequencies, it has nothing in common with a pitch shifter in the result. The Frequency Shifter shifts all frequencies of the incoming audio signal by the same frequency. For example, if the shift frequency is 200 Hz, 1000 Hz becomes 1200 Hz, 2000 Hz becomes 2200 Hz, and so on. The Squelch knob controls the modulation of the main VCA. Mix sets the ratio of the frequency shift down respectively up. Scale sets the coarse shift range, the large knob above it sets the finer frequency range. Zero Adjust defines the zero point from which the shift takes place.
