The Behringer BCR2000 USB/MIDI Controller combines the unlimited versatility of today's audio software with the feel of real controls.
The Behringer BCR2000 lets you turn real knobs to control all the virtual gear in Cubase, Cakewalk, Logic and other major audio software. It is the intuitive way to control and create music with a real hands-on feel.
The main features of the Behringer BCR2000 include:
Nice and compact controller.
It has USB connection and official drivers for proper device recognition, and it presents itself to the computer as two separate controllers - ideal for controlling multiple MIDI capable application simultaneously.
Is allows USB and MIDI communication, with a MIDI in, out and thru ports. Unfortunately, it requires external power.
Lots and lots of knobs, buttons and options. You can configure this as you please. Also, the top 8 knobs are splitted into 4 banks (selectable on the top right buttons), rendering as 32 different knobs.
Some knobs can be twitchy, by performing erratically - something glitches up and turning the knob sends weird values from not movin at all to becoming random. However, remapping the knob fixes the problem.
Most DAWs comes with presets for auto-mapping the device, and the device has internal presets for emulating commonly knows MIDI equipment. I use it as a "master effect unit", using the MIDI to control my mastering effect chain.
I love this controller. If you work with virtual instruments or/and effects, this is a must have. The endless number of parameters you can assign with the BCR2000 have a tremendous impact on your workflow. Ive tried with several DAWs and is really easy to map. You can map anything you want, and the fact that it haves 4 memory banks makes a huge difference in organization.
