Adagio for clarinet and orchestra (KV 622) by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart is an absolute standard work for clarinet, which belongs to the compulsory program of every clarinetist. Only two months before his death, the prodigy of Viennese Classicism completed this masterpiece and dedicated it to his friend and clarinetist Anton Stadler.
Naturally, the piece should not be missing from the collection of famous works that Bärenreiter is publishing on the occasion of the publisher's centenary. The Urtext edition offers musicians the original for an authentic interpretation.
