Bärenreiter Bach: Suite I für Violoncello solo BWV 1007
Playing score for violoncello
In celebration of the publishing house's centennial, Bärenreiter presents a series of individual editions of popular works. One of these is Suite I for solo cello BWV 1007 by Johann Sebastian Bach, who is one of the best-known and most influential musicians of the Baroque era. The first suite of the cycle is undoubtedly the most popular and opens up the great playing literature to cellists. It is not without reason that the piece is one of the most frequently played cello works.
In addition to the sheet music, the edition contains line markings and articulation indications by the expert of historical performance practice, August Wenzinger.
