Gate software plugins are like sand on the sea, but Boz  Digital Labs takes a small but practical step further with Gatey Watey. This is a function that attenuates frequencies above or below an adjustable value when the level falls below the threshold. An extremely helpful tool when it comes to cross-talking Hihat on the snare signal, for example. The so-called hi-hat bleed is cut off in the upper frequency range and thus recedes even further into the background than with a simple gate. Another example are guitar pickups and fluorescent tubes as problem sources. The unpleasant noise of interference becomes especially noticeable when an chord/tone etc. fades away and makes the recordings unusable. Here, too, the GateyWatey comes into play and dampens unwanted background noise at the same time.

Of course, the intuitive software plug-in also works efficiently and reliably with common gate applications.
