Avid's Pro Tools MTRX II is a modular DigiLink audio interface with the power and flexibility to become the centerpiece of any ambitious sound, post and film scoring studio. It builds on the I/O, routing and monitoring versatility of its predecessor, the MTRX, with integrated DigiLink, Dante and MADI interfaces, SPQ speaker processing, 8 I/O card slots and a slot for 256 channels of optional Thunderbolt 3 connectivity. With the MTRX II, even the largest music and audio productions can be handled with ease and its modular design means that you are well-prepared for changes in the future.
The Pro Tools MTRX II not only has 64 DigiLink I/O channels, 256 Dante channels and 64 MADI channels, but is also fully modular. Its 8 card slots can be equipped with any analog, digital and additional DigiLink, Dante or MADI option cards (the same option cards as for the MTRX) to support any artist, ensemble or workflow. In addition, the MTRX II can be equipped with the Thunderbolt 3 option module, transforming it into a Thunderbolt audio interface with up to 256 channels of low-latency native I/O at all sample rates. In combination with the various option modules, the MTRX II can process all common analog and digital interfaces and can be used as a multifunctional converter between all these formats. This makes it possible to replace various singular interfaces that take up a lot of space in the rack and to connect several HDX systems and DAWs via a single interface.
Equipped with the optional converter cards, the MTRX II delivers clean, transparent and detailed AD and DA conversion and belongs to the absolute top class of audio interfaces on the market. This means that vivid and high-resolution recordings can be made without any discoloration and can be monitored and processed with the same quality.
With the integrated SPQ Speaker Processing and DADman Pro Mon for monitor calibration as well as the extended 512 x 64 summing mixer, MTRX II fulfills a vast number of monitoring requirements. Speakers can be calibrated to compensate for their acoustic behavior in any room with up to 16 filters per monitor channel. This can be applied to up to 128 channels, each with adjustable delay and filters, from stereo to multistem Dolby Atmos summing.
With 256 built-in Dante channels, the MTRX II can be connected to any Dante network - the industry's preferred audio-over-IP solution. Ethernet is not only economical - especially for long cable runs - but enables a versatile, bi-directional workflow that utilizes any facility's Ethernet infrastructure to connect audio between multiple rooms and devices.
