The Arturia MicroFreak (EU) is a Hybrid Synthesizer with different Oscillator Models and Capacitive Touch Strip. The compact instrument is the result of a cooperation between Arturia and Mutable Instruments and contains eleven different digital synthesis models such as Karplus Strong, Wavetable, FM, Waveshaper, Grain or Chords. These models are unmistakably thanks to Mutable Instruments. Especially the Plaits oscillator from the Eurorack was the inspiration. The tone generator is followed by an analogue 12dB multimode filter, which corresponds to the Oberheim SEM VCF.
The main features of the Arturia MicroFreak (EU) include:
25-Note Experimental Hybrid Synthesizer
64-Step Sequencer
OLED Display
13x Digital Oscillators (Including Mutable Instruments Plaits Engines)
Analogue State Variable Filter
ADSR Envelope
Cycling Envelope with 2x Modes (Envelope & LFO)
LFO with Sync: Sine, Tri, Saw, Square, Random, Slew
Modulation Matrix with 5x Sources & 7x Destinations (3x Custom)
This is by far the best ever synth for the price you can afford. It’s great, small, compact and so easy to use. There are easy help tutorials on Artruria on YouTube and it’s so easy to use. Works well with an drumbrute impact if you can afford. Really worth the money. Buy me. Now!
An absolute powerhouse of a synth at a relatively good price - considering capabilities of other synths at this price range this one is the one to get. Paraphonic feature, analog LFO, a cycling envelope and a matrix system serve for diverse functionality!
Fantasticc little synthersizer, big feature set for the money, it is a very flexible little beast with a lot of voice and modulation possibilities, it is a perfect sound designing tool, it also doubles as an excellent modular controller with the cv and clock I/o, I'm even impressed with the super long power adaptor which is a rare thing, build quality is good, my only one criticism would be the power switch which does seem a very flimsy, however this is my own fault I have with the unit but again for the price it's a winner and future classic!
