With the T5V, Adam Audio presents a nearfield monitor whose compact size and technical nature make it ideal for use in small control rooms, home recording, video post-production, broadcast applications, or simply for listening to music on a PC. The active speaker features a beveled cabinet shape, a rear-firing bass reflex port, DSP-controlled crossovers and equalizers, and analog connectivity (XLR/RCA).
Its wide frequency response, wide dynamic range, excellent transient response, wide sweet spot, and small footprint make it an excellent choice for users looking for a small, professionally usable studio monitor.
For those who need even more low end, the T5V is compatible with the ADAM Sub7 and Sub8 subwoofers.
These monitors are way better than expected.
Having given up music production a few years back, I am currently getting a few entry level bits together to rise me over while I try and get back into it.
I went with the Adam's as I had read the high and mid frequency were good. I can confirm this is the case for such an entry level monitor. I had previously used RP6 (G2) and these blow those out of the water fro the higher frequencies. Low end is a lot weaker but I wasnt expecting much from a 5" driver.
Overall I am happy I went with these over some KRKs, Mackies or even Yamaha
