Overdrive effect pedal with the sound of the British Invasion
The Aclam Dr. Robert packs the authentic overdrive sound of the British Invasion into a compact effects pedal whose analogue circuitry is clearly based on the preamp of probably the rarest and most mysterious guitar amplifier from Great Britain. In addition to the first-class sound characteristics, the unique artwork from the pen of Klaus Voormann who designed the Grammy-winning cover for the Beatles' Revolver album.
Analogue Circuit with British Sound
At the heart of Aclam's Dr. Robert is a full analogue UL730-style circuit built by the Spanish effects company with carefully selected components of the highest quality. Accordingly, the effect pedal delivers a particularly dynamic overdrive with the coveted British chime.
Versatile with 3-band EQ
In addition to the gain and volume controls for adjusting the distortion and output volume, the Dr. Robert from Aclam has a flexible 3-band EQ for precise tuning of the tone. The important mid control is directly accessible, located on the top of the pedal, while the bass and treble controls are mini pots inside the pedal.
Mach Schau!
The "Mach Schau!" function, which can be activated via a separate footswitch, gives the Dr. Robert's overdrive more saturation if desired, with the intensity being adjustable via a separate control. The unusual name of the saturation circuit comes from an inciting exclamation with which the manager of a Hamburg club encouraged a young British band to be more active on stage.
Pedalboard mounting
The Aclam Dr. Robert is also flexible when it comes to mounting it on the pedalboard. Thanks to the provision for the Smart Track system, the effect pedal can be attached to the Smart Track pedalboards by means of two knurled screws accessible via the sides of the housing. In addition, the pedal comes with precisely cut Velcro tape for traditional pedalboards.
