AXIS PERCUSSION A-702 Double Pedal
The Axis double pedal A-772 is a weight-optimized high-end double pedal with direct drive and longboards. The ball bearings, high-quality hinges and the use of aluminum do the rest to guarantee maximum power transmission at the highest speeds. The Axis pedals are characterized by particularly smooth and fast aciton. The A772 from Axis is a double pedal with a longboard, so the beater develops a lot of power and high speed.
The adjustable elements on the A-772 give the user a variety of adjustment options to tune the pedal to personal preferences. The Variable Drive Lever mechanism allows the length of the pedal travel to be infinitely adjusted. You have the choice between a short path for a faster response and a long path for a more powerful sound and the necessary punch. The spring tension can also be influenced by the wing nut so that an optimally adjusted rebound is just a matter of a few movements. It goes without saying that the position of the Axis Beater can also be adjusted at will. The result is a feather-light feel.
In contrast to many other manufacturers, the A-772 does not come with a split board, but with a real longboard design. Here the pedal board does not consist of a fixed heel plate and a short foot plate, but of a continuous board made of one piece. In addition to more space for the foot, a longboard pedal also offers several other advantages: The foot position can be finely varied, because the extra long foot plate provides more room for positions and a more direct response to foot movements. This makes it much easier to find your personal sweet spot. Thanks to the lack of a heel plate, there are also completely new possibilities for using different bass drum techniques. The A-772 is especially well suited for heel-up techniques.
