ART P16 main features include
16 channels of balanced direct signals
High quality passive interface
XLR connectors (female on front, male on rear)
All connections made via reliable PCB wiring
19-inch 1U-high rack mount with rugged, fully shielded black all-steel enclosure
Very useful specially if your outboard connections ate in the back. In my case I have my preamps outs connected to my patchbay normaled to the DAW ins, the preamp ins are pluged to the P16. Since I track lots of stuff in the control room with various mics simultaniously, the P16 saves me a lot of time
Very well made and really makes connecting ins and outs a lot easier. My use is after a microphone splitter to present our inputs to a FOH desk all in one place with the bonus we can use our own IEM mixes every time
