AJH Synth has revised the Glide & Noise and introduces the skiff-friendly MkII version. At 6 TE, this module contains two circuits from the Minimoog: the transistor-based noise with three tones and the glide generator with its special characteristic curve. For the noise, the transistors used are manually selected and analyzed so that the noise has exactly the same timbre as the original Minimoog. White noise is also filtered through additional transistors to produce pink and red noise.
Gliding & Sliding
In the Minimoog the Glide had its own slightly exponential characteristic and the rise time was much faster than the fall. This behavior was exactly reproduced for the Glide + Noise module. The circuit was extended by a switch that determines the working mode: only upwards, only downwards or in both directions. A special feature of the Minimoog has been adopted: The Glide does not work constantly, but is only activated when a key is pressed. For this reason, the module has a hold socket. The glide can be completely deactivated with the on/off switch.
V2
In the MKII version the glide range is increased to 14 octaves, the installation depth is now skiff-friendly and the module can feed the CV to the system bus (selectable via jumper).
