AJH Synth Chance Delay with extended range of functions
The Chance Delay from AJH Synth is a trigger delay with an extended range of functions. The module is primarily designed to modify the length and output time of the incoming Gate signal. The main parameters Delay and Length can be switched separately in two working ranges and cover a time range of 0.5 ms - 30 seconds. A single gate signal can therefore be output with a delay of up to 30 seconds and can have a length of up to 30 seconds. The chance controller determines the probability of the Gate reaching the delay process or being sent directly to the output. In most cases, a trigger Delay is placed between a Gate source (sequencer, controller, MIDI CV/gate interface) and an envelope. This creates rhythmic variations, delayed starts of envelopes in ambient patches or other timed events in combination with other modules. The circuitry of the Chance Delay processes such fast triggers that the module can also be used as a subdivider on an oscillator with a square waveform to generate sub-basses. Thanks to the three control voltage inputs, the parameters can be controlled individually. If you use a clock-synchronized LFO, you could shift the delay value for a moment every 4 bars.
