4ms SCM Plus at a glance

The SCM Plus from 4ms is an innovative clock multiplier that allows extreme manipulations in timing. This module brings together what has basically always belonged together: the shuffling clock multiplier (SCM) and the SCM breakout (SCMBO) are finally united in the SCM Plus. Primarily, the SCM Plus generates eight multipliers from the incoming clock signal, the highest value of which is x32 when the "4x Fast" button is pressed.

The first two and the last value are straight multipliers, the other outputs with an S are the shuffled/slipped/skipped outputs. The five outputs can be widely manipulated to create bizarre grooves outside the 4/4 grid.

Rotate shifts the multiplication value, Slip causes certain beats to be moved forward in time, Shuffle selects which beats are affected by Slip, Skip skips certain beats in a pattern, and Pulse Width controls the width of the output pulses. A gate or trigger signal on the Resync input resets the S outputs to zero. Changes made with the knobs respectively CV inputs affect all S outputs equally, the X outputs are unaffected. In addition, the SCM Plus is capable of receiving the clock via the 4ms power bus and has a Free Run mode that does not require an external clock.
