Fame Wah Pedal

For this money, this wah is really great. Like many other reviews my pedal also moved very heavy. What people don't know is that this is solved within a couple of minutes! Here's how: first remove the bottom plate of the pedal by unscrewing the four rubber feet. There are two points where friction occures. The first one is where the teeth are that actually make the potentiometer move. So it's near the wah's potentiometer, right above the circuitboard. These teeth are set using a plastic ring which is attached to the pedal's metal housing using a single screw. This ring is right above the circuitboard. It's colored black. Hold this plastic ring and gently lose the screw that holds it just a little bit. Only a quarter of a turn will do. Most importantly though is the second point of friction. The upper part of the pedal on which you place your foot, moves on a shaft. The friction on this shaft is controlled by a metal piece that is secured to the pedals bottom half where you're working on right now. When you have your pedal open, you'll find a screw and bolt right near the same spot where the 9V battery is secured. Unscrew this bolt by approx. 5mm. The screw is set so tight that the bolt will just become lose but wont make the screw move. So you'll be able to measure the indicated 5 mm with no problem. Now take a light hammer or anything else you can lightly punch with an punch on the actual screw. The screw will now move to it's new place you've set with the bolt you just moved and set on the indicated 5 mm. This in order will lower the friction on the shaft and you'll notice that the wah now moves way, way more easily and operates just as nice as any other wah pedal! Enjoy and don't be decieved by it's low price! It's got a great tone along with a buffer and components that actually work and this pedal won't cause any tone-suck. I've got all kinds of wah pedals and this one is just as great as any other!

Um bei einigen Solos mithalten zu können, wollte ich mir ein Wah-Wah Pedal zulegen. Ich entschied mich vorerst für dieses, da es relativ günstig ist.
Mittlerweile bin ich jedoch auf ein teures Wah-Wah Pedal umgestiegen.

Klang:
Gegen den Klang gibt es nicht viel einzuwenden, es erfüllt seinen Zweck, ist jedoch nicht so sensibel wie ein teureres. Deshalb nur 4/5.

Verarbeitung:
Die Verarbeitung war für mich relativ enttäuschend.
Das Gehäuse ist zwar stabil, jedoch findet der 12V Stecker nicht immer Kontakt.
Nach ein paar Wochen rauschte das Pedal schließlich nurnoch. Grund dafür war ein defektes Poti.
Ich musste das Pedal drei Mal umtauschen bis ich damit abschließen konnte.

Preis/Leistung:
Da dieses Pedal relativ günstig ist, ist es für Einsteiger ein "must have"!
Es erfüllt so ziemlich seinen Zweck.

Handling/Bedienung:
Auch hier leider nur 4/5, da das anschalten des Pedals relativ schwierig von statten geht.
Man muss das Pedal ziemlich feste drücken, damit es den Knopf erreicht.

Features/Ausstattung:
Auch hier nur 4/5, da im Lieferumfang kein Netzteil mitgeliefert wurde.

Fazit:
Für Einsteiger ideal zum austesten, für fortgeschritten würde ich jedoch ein qualitativ hochwertigeres empfehlen.

Ich hatte in 30 jahren musikmachen schon viele wah pedale.auch richtig teure. jetzt im reifem alter und mit neuer band wird nachgedacht. das fame wah geht ganz locker an/auszuschalten.sehr stabil und kein brummen mit netzteil.regelweg und klang ist super.der unterschied zum teurerem cry baby mag sein das das cry baby schriller klingt.das fame wah klingt warm nicht so schrill.ich spiele damit hauptsächlich Heavy metal .von black sabbath bis slayer. bin sehr zufrieden für den preis.kann es nur empfehlen.lets rock!!!

Mit dem Klang bin ich zufrieden .Mußte nur den Schalter unter dem Pedal etwas tiefer legen,dadurch erhielt ich auch den vollen Filterumfang.Allerdings für Hi Gain nicht so sehr geeignet,da sollte schon was teureres her .Für menine Musik geht das so in Ordnung.

Bin mit dem Wah sehr zufrieden, top Preis/Leistungs Verhältnis.
Das Wah klingt gut und läuft auch zuverlässig.
Wer ein Wah für kleines Geld sucht ist hier gut aufgehoben.
Man kann es natürlich nicht mit einem teuren Custom Wah vergleichen, aber es kostet ja nicht mal ein Fünftel.
